Day’s Verse:
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31

(I know this is the verse from yesterday; it applies for today as well.)
I did not remember that a throat could hurt so blindingly bad as to make a person want to cry. But it can. And in the company of a fever it makes for one very long, very hot, very painful night of non-sleep.
I cannot confirm that today is Spree Day, though my Thursday classes have been cancelled in anticipation of it, but I could not make it to classes if I wanted to. A fever of over 100 degrees all night plus a diet of all applesauce for several days will take something out of a body… Like energy, perhaps.

I think you need some sore throat lozenges to suck on and maybe some aspirin to get relief from the fever. There’s also gargelling(?) with warm salt water to help the throat or my personal childhood favorite, eating honey and lemon juice mixed together. Won’t cure it but tastes nice! You better rest a lot!
It all sounds very nice, and I’d love to, but sadly I’m in no condition to go Price Chopping, and Ian’s gone for the whole day doing lab work. I will satisfy myself with tea.
🙁
I can run to the chopper and get you something if you need it katie!
Did you take Lesley up on it? What a nice friend!
Thankfully, Ian surprised me and came home! So he PC’d for me, and I learned that the lozenges he bought make my tongue tingle.
Must be the kind with a mild anasthetic!
Yeah, it is, though it really doesn’t anaesthetize my throat, which would be nice.
