Yeah, that’s right! I got my word-count validated today, and I’m feeling very pleased with myself. Yes, I neglected my classes, friendships, responsibilities and exercise needs to write 50,000 words in less than 25 days, but now I have a webpage sticker to prove I did it – and, of course, a very classy certificate “signed” by NaNoWriMo founder Chris Baty. I also took a screen shot to commemorate this momentous occasion.

Now I know you’re impressed, but I have to suggest you actually read the novel and you’ll realize what a piece of work it is. You have no excuse not to read it! I posted the whole thing very conscienciously online at Io’s Child, which can be found at http://ioschild.blogspot.com. And don’t complain that the story isn’t concluded; Steinbeck didn’t finish his version either.
