Day’s Verse:
All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.

Let me introduce the Kitchen Queen, our guardian of all things culinary. She says:

Do you have a favorite recipe? Some delicious dessert you love to make, perhaps? A favorite batch of cookies to share with frieds during a movie? Carmel corn to munch during the Christmas season? A delectably mouth-watering dinner dish you love to prepare for guests? A particular food you dream of while you eat institutional mush? Share your recipes with me!

I am making a cookbook of the pinnacle of recipes, those things that you just love and love to share with others. I would love to get the best of your best, try them out, and add them to our collective kitchen knowledge.

Which suddenly makes me wonder. Does anybody who reads this site cook?

  1. I do! I will have to give you my carrot muffin recipe. It’s what you get when the Joy of Cooking meets the vagaries of my kitchen. No orange juice? Well what if I substitute…

  2. Of course! I recommend taking a buncha veggies, like zucchini and tomato, sauting them with garlic and olive oil and basil, then mixing them liberally with pasta. And maybe parmassan. It’s the best sauce.
    I’m thinking about having a bring-a-recipe bridal shower…

  3. It’s a good idea. We’ve had a hard time compiling recipes that are reliably good; it’s been rather experimental. This also means we’ve had some real duds, like the citrus-orange fish…
