Today my Social Imps professor let us out an hour early. Only nine of the 15 students had bothered to show up, and of them only I had read the assigned chapter. Two people fell blatantly asleep and I not-so-subtly read a novel that just so happened to have come along. He ended class, but called four of us to remain behind, and I half-expected him to chastise me for reading in class (just like Ms. Muldrow, my 7^th grade science teacher). Instead he explained that a Google recruiter was coming to campus, and she just so happened to be the daughter of a friend of his. She had asked for a list of students he recommended, and he wanted to confirm that giving her our names would be okay. Ha! Okay! Mostly she wants interns, I hear, but there cannot be any harm in being recommended to Google by one of my professors.

All I have to say is: w00t. And maybe something good will come of this.
