Day’s Verse:
On the same day all the floodgates of the sky were opened. The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

Have you noticed how sandwitches seem to change volume depeding on how you cut them? Take this sandwitch for instance: looks like a decent amount, right? Say they cut it straight down the middle, rather than at an angle. That could feel like a larger sandwitch because each piece seems bigger. If they hadn’t cut it diagonally like that, though, odds are it would look like too much. Then again, if they had cut it into quarters – those cute little triangles – it would feel like much less. How easy it is to eat four quarter-sandwiches than one whole sandwich!

My question is, why? If you eat the exact same amount of sandwitch in four quarters as opposed to one big lump, what’s the difference?
