But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen.”
Church hardly mentioned Easter at all. I felt totally cheated, that we have this extremely important holiday once a year and they chose not to mention it. These non-denominational churches seem to lack any sense of tradition. Grr. But I still say Christ is Risen! and in response, He is risen indeed!
We went to Natick to join my relatives for Easter; tried dandelions for the first (and hopefully last) time, played with Emma, and drove for hours to and fro. It was great to spend the time with our relatives. We expect to see more of them since we will live much nearer. Emma had a fun little easter egg hunt inside, and came up with lots of chocolate, pennies, and a few larger toys. All in all a good Easter, if not exactly strong on the Christian side of things.
