Day’s Verse:
He who is generous will be blessed,
For he gives some of his food to the poor.

Here is a historic article I ran across on CNN. Ian and I paid $2.81 to fill Weathers up — that’s $25 for the whole tank in a super-efficient vehicle. I pity all you suckers out there who drive less efficient vehicles. Truly I do.

  1. I remember when Caitlyn bought her Mustang (early 2004), and we realized that it needed premium gas. Gas was going up at that point, and premium had recently crossed the $2/gal. point. I told her “This is cheapest gas will ever be, from now on.” Haha — it’s sure great to be right.

  2. If only you’d been wrong, we’d all be able to drive cars that used more gas!

…Hmm, so maybe it’s a good thing gas prices are so high, if we drive less or drive more efficient cars as a result? Would this suggest a steep gas tax could also be a good thing?

  3. Mom: Poor Mibbie. I cried when you sold that car.

Deborah: I don’t think it’d be wise for me to weigh in on that, but I don’t know if it makes you weirder or not… 🙂
