Day’s Verse:
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes… For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith
Romans 1:16-17

It was artichoke slices. I tend to avoid artichokes unless they have been mixed in with other stronger flavors and textures.
What I wonder now, though, is: Is it too early to start thinking about food at 9:15? I ate breakfast three hours ago, and by 10:00 or 10:30 I seriously could eat an elephant (definitely larger than horse-sized hunger).
Anyway. This weekend involved lots of travel. Saturday Ian and I went on a walk around part of the reservoir nearby, starting at the World War II Memorial Beach. It is the first successful walk we planned based on the free Marlborough map we got with our move-in packet; even so, later that day I went to AAA and got a reliable map of the area. Then Sunday we drove around after church, getting kind of lost but eventually finding a fish and chip/ice cream place in north-central Massachusetts that (while expensive) proved quite tasty and, later, soporific.
Finally, last night I rode on a rail trail less than a mile from our apartment. It is part of the Assabet River Rail Trail, an in-the-works biking/pedestrian trail network through many of the towns near us. Here is a cool Google Map of the route. I think I rode most of the green part from the start in Marlborough, but I lost the trail at an intersection with a bunch of roads and decided to just turn back. Most of the trail is a gentle downhill grade on the way out, which meant that it demanded a fair amount of work on the return journey. Even so, I enjoyed it and will certainly return to bike more of that trail another day.
…Is it lunch time yet? Please say yes.
And by artichoke slices you mean avocado slices. Granted there weren’t artichokes on the sandwhich either, but they weren’t part of the original list.
Er, yes. Thanks for knowing what I mean even when I say something different.

my prize is an overly smug sense of satisfaction.
It’s lunchtime—here! That trail looks very nice but lots of the pictures wouldn’t load. The trails on Cape Cod would be nice to ride, I’ll bet.
Ooh where did you end up for lunch in north-central MA? Maybe you were near us!
Sounds like you’ve been having a good time… and you’re making me hungry now! Hehe (It’s 11.10pm here!).
