Day’s Verse:
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
Jude 1:24-25

Explanation to a new hire about what’s at our end of the hall. She said:

There’s not much down here, just Clin Path right here. They do about half the blood draws for [something]. Their offices are down there. If you have batches you will take them up to here sometimes. Their job is to [blah blah]. Oh, and there are some BAC offices at that end of the hall too. It’s basically just a dead end down there.

That’s right, ma’am, it’s just a dead end down here.

Also, today sets a new record: I have worked six hours so far in my nine hour day. This may sound strange to you, but I rejoice, because Monday and Tuesday I worked 2.5 hours in my nine-hour day, and that left the other 6.5 feeling extremely long.

  1. If it was a true dead end, you wouldn’t be there. God doesn’t put people in dead ends in my experience. That employee just hadn’t figured out how your department was useful to her yet, so she figured it was useless for everyone. I don’t think you are a dead end anyway. And I am coming for dinner Friday, but I still need directions.
