Best Email Ever

On Friday last week, I signed a final report for a particular sponsor. I packaged it to send our usual way: on CD overnight express. Later that day, we received an email from the sponsor asking if we had signed the report and could we please, please get him a copy ASAP. So I emailed him the PDF that he’ll get on CD today. Then I left for the weekend.
This morning I came in and found this email in my inbox:
Kelly*, John**, Kathleen,
Thanks so much for pushing this through to meet our timelines. I appreciate it very much and have noted your efforts in my growing list of good marks for CRL!

That is a great way to start the day! I find it rare to get thanked in work, but that once in a while certainly makes a day

Frame it and post it directly in your line of sight on your cubicle wall. Read as often as needed to ease frustration and pain. Caution: May be habit forming.
