This morning a friend and I went to a bakery that just opened down the street for coffee and breakfast. I bought a truly delicious croissant, light, fluffy, and glazed with some kind of sugar. The owner’s wife and daughter (a darling first-grader) served us our food. As she prepared our drinks, we oogled their dessert display, where I saw a most amazing confection that I commented on. We received our food and retired to a window table for a nice long chat.
