Day’?s Verse:
Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know tha tthey do wrong.
Ecclesiastes 5:1

Last week I noticed the trees blooming at last. Although the weather started warming up a couple weeks ago, the trees have remained gaunt and winterized well into what I would think of as spring time. Even now none of them have leaves, per se, but at least most have started blossoming — and the grass has regained its vibrant green color, with only a few patches showing the dead winter brown. Now parts of my ride each morning I travel Anne of Green Gables-esque roads, lined with white-blossomed trees. If only we could ban cars from the roads, things would be ideal.

Speaking of bikes, here is my first (but not last) announcement:

BIKE TO WORK DAY
May 18

Do what it takes to ride and help bicyclists around the country make their presence known.
