BIKE TO WORK DAY

I keep putting little signs up around work, but (as I recently learned) we’re not allowed to post anything not approved by HR, so they keep getting taken down. Apparently they don’t want Sponsors coming by and seeing promotions for Bike to Work Day. …Jerks.

Weekend review:
This weekend Ian and I went to the Roadhouse Cafe, my new favorite restaurant, with Nora and Karissa, and in the afternoon I put two coats of wax on my bike. I briefly agonized that the hardware store undercharged me by $0.20 for the wax, but when I called them, they said not to worry about it. I felt better. That evening we watched the first half of Fellowship of the Ring; I say only half because by about 9:45 I was starting to fall asleep. Then on Sunday we went to Framingham and bought Ian new shoes for the first time in four years, and afterwards made our way to Hopkinton State Park, where we had a picnic. We sat in the sun, ate pitas with Tillamook cheddar cheese and turkey, and watched people kayak around the small lake there. When the bugs started crawling around after our food, we went home and watched the second half of Fellowship of the Ring. A good weekend, generally.
