So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
The major advantage of riding from church home is that Holden happens to sit at about 800 feet above sea level, while Marlborough weighs in at around 400 feet above sea level. This means that any route I take, although it may have some climbing involved, will always trend downwards. I also hopped on the Assabet River Rail Trail for the last section of my ride, which turned it into a truly delightful meander along smooth, lightly-peopled, car-free countryside. Even so, after Saturday’s ride, my legs felt leaden almost this entire ride. I forced myself to keep going anyway, and eventually I just felt a normal amount of tired. Clearly I have a significant amount of training to do before I can ride 75 miles two days in a row, let alone 100 miles two days in a row.
Eating on the ride continues to go well, though. Yay for food and water while exercising — it’s like a little boost along the way. I need any boost I can get.
