You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Our beta fish, Mr. Fishy, lives in a fishy palace, a whole 10-gallon tank devoted solely to his swimming pleasure. Because Mr. Fishy likes hiding, we have a couple fake plants (real ones kept dying, and came with too many snails) in there for him to rest his huge tail-fin on. His back fin is so huge that just floating in the water, he slowly tips tail-down and sinks to the bottom unless he supports himself somehow. Perching the tail-fin alone on leaves seems a favorite method of his to relieve the strain of keeping all that tail up. At the same time, when he nestles in the leaves, I imagine he thinks he’s all sneaky and hidden in there, when in reality is shimmery gaudy colors couldn’t serve as worse camouflage.
