Funny how Communists those early Christians were. Maybe Communism would work if it was based on religion? Speaking of political views, I think everybody’s rehashed the election outcome enough that I don’t need to go there. I am glad, though, that the state income tax question didn’t pass. Whew! The Massachusetts government will still have a budget in a couple years!

Anyway I actually wanted to say why I love stormy, dark, rainy, windy days for riding home: They give me a good reason to slip into a hot soaky bath for the next hour and a half. I have the deep and abiding pleasure of rereading Time Traveler’s Wife while luxuriating in steamy water so unlike the rain still dripping from my inundated clothes. I get to voluntarily get completely wet without the trouble of having to dry out all my clothes before morning.

Also I get to start enjoying the beauty of my fabulous never-rusting titanium bike.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go dig out a fan to blow on all my still-dripping bike clothes.
