For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
I got up today at 7:00 — my carpool driver won’t be getting here until about 8:45 — and it was NEGATIVE TWO DEGREES. I spelled it out because I couldn’t really believe it myself, but here it is again: -2°F. (Now, at 8:00 am, it has warmed up to 0.3°F. Something about these numbers make me want to laugh hysterically.)
Can I say right now how grateful I am to have a warm, cozy home to live in? We have a roof, four walls, and heat. I have thick warm blankets, slippers, flannel-lined pants, a heavy down jacket, and an extremely warm green hat. How wonderful it is to be warm.
