Today, once again, I rode Charlotte. We took the long way to and from work, meandering quite a bit in pursuit of interesting photos. As usual most pictures turned out mediocre, but one or two stand out, and those brought a realization into focus (pun intended) for me: I have an eye for small things. By isolating a little bit of a large, ordinary scene, I bring out its extraordinary qualities. Landscapes and I remain on less friendly terms, perhaps because they require a better artistic sense, or perhaps because they require greater technical skill to capture accurately. Skies and objects in the foreground continue to confound my abilities.

So, from the smaller side of life, I present one of the details I saw today. This is the second image off this camera that I feel really proud to have shot (the first is here).
