Day’s Verse:
Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Vanishing PointExciting good news came in last night! Ian cleverly figured out I was excited because when I hung up the phone I spent a few minutes jumping up and down and flapping my hands wildly. Ian has very keep perceptions sometimes. It’s one of the reasons I keep him around. That, and he vacuums the apartment twice a month, and since I hate vacuuming I really can’t get rid of him.

I leave work today at 11:30 (hooray!) and have to rush home, shower, change, inhale lunch, and then Ian will whisk me off to church to meet up with everybody else doing this women’s retreat — all while trying not to itch too much! The bee sting this time is much more swollen and itchy than last time. Grr. Anyway, the retreat is at Camp Berea, up in New Hampshire, so they’re planning on leaving midafternoon to get there in time for Friday night activities. I don’t have any real expectations, but I do hope to get some pretty pictures.

One last random thing: I had a huge, huge list of work to do this week. I did it all. It gave me a sense of accomplishment to see things getting knocked down one by one, until now it’s actually not a big deal for me to leave early today. Sometimes this job can be rewarding, at least.

  1. the reason the sting is worse this time is that it is cumulative, your reaction will get worse each time so try to not get stung anymore,If that is possible which it is not, Hugs Jane

  2. Oh, believe me, I would be happy if I was never stung again in my life. I DILIGENTLY avoid being stung, but alas, bees in my shirt are one of those unavoidable-sting situations. 🙂
