I Just Had to Share the Jumping Slugs

Day’s Verse:
“So you’ll go out in joy,
you’ll be led into a whole and complete life.
The mountains and hills will lead the parade,
bursting with song.
All the trees of the forest will join the procession,
exuberant with applause.”

Some things are just too good to keep to myself. Jumping slugs is one of those things.


I found the article on northwest jumping slugs on the Nature Conservancy page. Turns out jumping slugs (of which there are a number of sub-types: the warty jumping slug, the keeled jumping slug, the dromedary jumping slug, the pale jumping slug, and the Malone jumping slug, to name just a few) are native to the northwest, unlike many of the exotic slug species that thrive here.
