Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
2 Timothy 2:25-26
OK, I forget what I did on Thursday, but I’m sure it was important stuff.
This is our car after the Toyota dealership theoretically changed the floor mats and gas pedal to prevent the Toyota acceleration issue. That floor mat is clearly our old one, and the gas pedal looks pretty filthy for being new, so I have no idea what they did for those two hours.
While the car languished at the dealership, I had an adventure on Metro buses, and eventually got myself to Pedal Dynamics. They did a very thorough tune-up and gave me my restored bike back.
I rode it home in utter delight.
Saturday evening Rachel came over and we produced lots of delicious food, including — from scratch — this:
Neither of us have done apple pie from scratch before, but it turned out great. Yum. I’ll be making that more in the future.
Ian started draining our hot tub, bringing to light a little surprise left behind by the previous owners. That rubber ducky has been floating in there since we bought the house in June, and we had no idea.
