Day’s Verse:

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I chose that verse because I think Paul should have added “nor gigantic man-eating bugs” in there somewhere. I measured with a ruler. It was 2 inches long not counting legs/antenna, and it ran right along the foot of my bedding out in the living room. The small, 1/8″ ones are bad enough, but when you have to measure them in multiple inches, and when they are actually bigger than the spiders crouching in our corners, well! That’s too much. Only what can you do besides yell and run around in circles, then get your nerve up and flush it down the toilet?

Probably it was a mistake to trap it under a glass and examine its “war paint,” as Luke put it, because now we all are walking softly and carrying big sticks.
