Day’s Verse:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

Rom 6:23

I counted 31 live squirrels (and two dead ones) on my way to pick up developed pictures at L.B. Wheaton’s today. Earlier Ian and I had noticed, but failed to count, the vast number of squirrels out on the WPI campus and in Elm Park. We estimated that we saw at least 25 large-tailed rodents foraging, but now I have to revise that to at a minimum of 40. They seem to appear in pairs or triplets and scatter in opposite directions when you walk near them. Where do they come from? Where do they go? What are they doing in the leaf-litter? What would you do with one if you caught it? These questions will remain with the human race for as long as people and squirrels coexist.

The other exciting thing today was that I got my first-ever good digital pictures developed at a real photo place. When I bought my camera I got 6 months of 25 free pictures per month at their store, although I forgot in October. This month I resolved not to forget and I’m glad I didn’t; actually holding physical photos I’ve taken turned out to be quite thrilling.

  1. hya, I love the togetherness in your blogs.
I wish the ratio of dead versus alive squirrels were reversed. Snide enough for you;-)
