Day’s Verse:
While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:6-7

I took this of Ian last night. It is possibly my best person-picture ever; I think it captures some of who Ian is, or at least some of what I see in him.
Also it appeals to me right now because I took a test that really proved I know nothing about calculus. Although I studied diligently for probably 20 hours in the last 5 days, still I obviously failed ot understand anything. I might as well have turned the thing in blank, for all the good my agonizing for 50 minutes did. I feel so awful… I guess that puts a crimp in my budding career as a mathematician!
On a brighter note, what is one really strange thing you do? Mine: I pick tiny bits of white stuff off of our dark green carpet instead of doing my push-ups.

I *really* like that picture of Ian! I know it feels awful to not be good at something but that doesn’t mean you’re stupid. . . just that your brain was not wired for that type of thinking. Besides, if you’re stupid, I must be in a coma when it comes to math concepts.

My really weird thing is well practically everything. But specifically, well I talk to myself A LOT when doing any kind of homework intensively, but especially when I program. I have whole conversations with myself. Although it’s usually one sided.

Ian comes by his talking to himself thing through me. I do it everywhere. I heard it was a sign of intelligence. 🙂 I think it may relate to what type of learner you are–we must be auditory learners–we have to hear it for it to sink in.
