Day’s Verse:
“Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22

Due to the overwhelming response to this blog design, I’ve decided to drop the subject entirely. Another wonderful Socrates quote:
Everyone who lived at that time, not being as wise as you young ones are today, found it rewarding enough in their simplicity to listen to an oak or even a stone, so long as it was telling the truth, while it seems to make a difference to you who is speaking and where he comes from. Why, though, don’t you just consider whether what he says is right or wrong?(275C)
I wish I had run across that during election-time! However, on a lighter note, consider this quote from a GE light bulb package:
See what you’ve been missing with GE Reveal light bulbs. Specially made to filter out yellow rays that hide life’s true colors, GE Reveal light bulbs produce nothing but cleaner, whiter-looking light.
To which I say, 1) Why would I want to see those imperfections that I have lived so well not seeing? 2) How does filtering out one of the primary colors reveal an object’s true colors? 3) Why did we buy these crummy light bulbs? Now I see all my acne scars and bits of Ian’s shaving and specks on the floor that need vacuuming. Or is that just a function of putting on my glasses?

I didn’t have time to respond to your new blog design idea. I like your sample design and think that it would be a good idea to separate Ian’s blog because it doesn’t change hardly ever. By the way, Tucson was 75 degrees! Wonderful!
I just took that Nerd test and got a 96! I am so proud to be waaay nerdier than you. 🙂
Believe it or not, I have seen that light bulb quote also, and have wondered how light can be “cleaner” without yellow. What does that mean? Do you have to wash your face and hands more often if you work in yellow light?
In that case we should all be working under what – UV rays? Think how clean we’d be then!
My Nerd score was, not surprisingly, 9! I guess being somewhat computer literate is not the same as being a nerd.
