This morning as I did my Bible Study in the 30 precious minutes of sun that seeps into our apartment, and idea struck me. I fit in the window. There is sun in the window. I have a tripod, a camera with a 10-second timer, and adjustable shutter speeds and aperature. What am I waiting for? Results were varied, but Ian contends this turned out the best. You can click the picture for a larger view. I somewhat agree with Ian insofar as the reflection of my face in the picture on the right was unintended but cool. Other more zoomed-in images have a different, more intimate feel. I think this captures my mood in the morning fairly well: quiet, pensive, not as energetic as later – slowing down to take some time with God. Although I will admit I don’t usually sit in the window while doing my Bible Study.

Perhaps next time I will put some actual clothes on before taking pictures of myself.

[1:03 PM | Update: I have shifted the links box to be above the Ian’s Blog box. This is because Ian is unsure about his blogging status right now and I needed the extra room for more links. Also I put Ian’s latest blog by hand into his space, but if anybody has a good way of grabbing text from another blog and displaying it, let me know. The by-hand method is really just an ad hoc substitute for an automated system. Also, I am working hard to make the site viewable to Mozilla Firefox and Netscape users; unfortunately, I cannot figure out:

1. Why the title is not big, in small-caps, and Garamond
2. Why the text in the Links and Ian’s Blog boxes is shifted over
3. How to put padding/margins around the Links and Ian’s Blog boxes.
