Meet Bessy the Science Cow. She relates directly to a really strange fact I ran across in my biology book yesterday:

Because their digestive process is anaerobic, cows and other ruminant animals anually eliminate some 100 million tons of methane, another greenhouse gas, through belching and flatulence. The anaerobic decomposition of manure leads to an additional 30 million tons of methan per year. All this methane released by livestock makes up about 3% of the gases causing global warming.

What this essentially says is that we have so many cows farting, burping, and crapping that it contributes a bunch to global warming. Of course, our current administration does not seem to believe that global warming exists, so clearly we actually have nothing to worry about.
