The Tragic Tale of a Restroom Misapprehension

Day’s Verse:

A pastor was driving to visit another church. He had quite some distance to travel, so along the way he stopped to use the bathroom in a rest stop. Thankfully Washington rest-stops offer fairly decent bathrooms. When he had gotten into the stall, he had this experience.

Man In Next Stall: Hi.
Pastor: (Shocked) Um…Hi.
Man: How’re you?
Pastor: (Still shocked) …Fine…
[Pause. The pastor feels weirded out and hopes the conversation is over.]
Man: Where are you going?
Pastor: (Hoping short responses will shut Man up) Seattle.
Man: How much farther have you got to go?
Pastor: I’m about halfway.
[Another pause.]
