Training Ride No. 3

Today:

The major advantage of riding from church home is that Holden happens to sit at about 800 feet above sea level, while Marlborough weighs in at around 400 feet above sea level. This means that any route I take, although it may have some climbing involved, will always trend downwards. I also hopped on the Assabet River Rail Trail for the last section of my ride, which turned it into a truly delightful meander along smooth, lightly-peopled, car-free countryside. Even so, after Saturday’s ride, my legs felt leaden almost this entire ride. I forced myself to keep going anyway, and eventually I just felt a normal amount of tired.
