Day’?s Verse:
There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
Romans 5:3-5

Day’?s Verse:
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
2nd Timothy 4:7-8

I’m pleased to report that Katie successfully completed day 1 of the Cape Cod Getaway in six hours. She arrived at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy shortly after 1:30 PM. Unfortunately we didn’t take any pictures of her when she arrived (and I forgot to get the pictures off of my cell phone before she left this morning). However, a photography company is providing free pictures to all the riders so by the end of next week we should be able to link to pictures of Katie finisher her rides. I arrived around 12:30 (I was pretty sure she wouldn’t be there yet) so I could stand alongside victory lane and cheer for Katie as she finished the 75 miles. She was surprised when I shouted out “Go Katie!”.
