It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—”Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation.
Romans 10:4-10 (approx)
I feel like a zombie today. My body keeps going, but my brain just isn’t engaged.
I think it must be winter finally catching up to me. The cold, dark days leave me feeling sluggish. Dragging myself out of bed becomes a chore — leaving my warm, cozy nest for the frigid outside air — and I could easily wake up after 7:00 every day of the week. In short, I’m ready for spring. Temperatures routinely above freezing, green plants, no more snow… Yep, spring can’t come too soon. If we just skipped February and went straight to March, I could handle that.
