As the pandemic continues, I’ve kept on riding mostly alone or with Dad. Now, after finally getting fully vaccinated, I expect to start riding with other people again, so this will probably be the last bike selfie post.
From November through May, here’s where I’ve gone. As usual, I took pictures on sunny days. I didn’t take many pictures of all my indoor rides — and I did a lot of indoor riding, taking advantage of being at home to avoid riding in cold, rainy, dark weather.
Lopez Island, December 17, 2020 – We brought bikes for a short family trip to Lopez Island.
December 28, 2020, Sixty Acres – A rare sunny afternoon.
January 8, 2021 – O.O. Denny Park at sunset on a ride with Dad.
March 1, 2021 – Carillon Point sunset just before the time change.
April 21, 2021– Another sunset ride, this time at Waynita Golf Course. Flowering trees abound!
April 25, 2021 – Leschi on a solo rainy-day ride. I stopped there to scrape about a pound of dirt out of my front fender.
May 8, 2021 – Black Diamond Bakery, always a delicious stop. Dad and I rode there on an unexpectedly rainy day. I had just switched to my fast tires, but shortly after this stop I got a flat tire.
May 9, 2021 – After that rainy ride, I spent a long time washing and waxing my bike.
May 16, 2021 – A rare selfie of me and my bike together enjoying a quick stop at Sammamish State Park on a very nice day.
May 17, 2021 – …and then the very next day, it started raining again, and declined to stop for several more days.
May 29, 2021 – Harborview Park, Mukilteo – Dad and I opted to ride on some different roads for a change, so started by heading to Mukilteo. What beautiful views!
